Yes, let's discuss reparations.
What then of the total number of Europeans enslaved by the Ottoman Turks and their allies between the fifteenth and nineteenth century? By mainstream estimates around 1 million were taken by the Barbary pirates; around 3 million by the Crimean Tartars from Russia/Ukraine; about 1 million by the Tartars and Turks from the Caucasus, and about 10 million (by the most conservative estimate) by the Ottomans themselves from central Europe and the Balkans. This gives a grand total of 15 million – far more than European slave-traders took from Africa in the same period.

Btw, do you know why the flags of Sardinia and Corsica represent a dead black man's head on a spike?

Because Sardinians and Corsicans were fed up having to wait centuries for 'reparations'.

Reparations for acts that happened centuries ago are ridiculous. I'm Celtic British. That means that my ancestors were slaughtered, raped and enslaved by the ancestors of most Europeans. Can I seriously ask Danes, Germans, French, and Italians for a handout? I could do with the money but somehow don't think that they'll pay. Also, I'm not responsible for what my ancestors might have done and I can't reasonably hold others responsible for what their ancestors did.

Thank you for the new site Alan…. BTW regarding "Reparations" I can't wait the Moon and the Star for the threads and our comments.

a case for reparations
I don't need to be convinced, so I won't watch the video: I always keep all my mechanical tools/toys etc. in top shape condition. I generally follow the manufacturer's suggestions and I immediately repair anything that needs repair. I also have all the technical documentation ready.

How about some reparations for us, Burkinabés?

Nvm sending them to Burkina Faso, I'll collect direct.

Don't blame us. They originated in of all places what is now Syria. And the current "popularity" of them is down entirely to Queen Victoria. They had more or less died out until Victoria who loved all things Scottish popularised them. Without her bagpipes would have remained an obscure and dying musical instrument. Another argument against a monarchy.
